Sound audiometry, air line KA450
When the device is switched on, it is in test mode tone audiometry in the basic position air receiver/right/1000 Hz.
The air receiver is placed on the subject with the red marked side of the headphones over the right ear and the blue marked side over the left ear.
The following audiometer settings must be made:
Transducer selection (1) Air receiver (5)
Side (6) right (8) or left (7) (better ear)
Signal selection (9) Sound (12)
Frequency (52, 53) 1000 Hz
Slowly increase the volume in 5 dB steps using the level controls (42, 47) until the patient indicates that they can hear the sound (patient signal (48) or hand signal).
By decreasing the volume and increasing it again up to the hearing threshold, you can make sure that the measured hearing threshold is correct and mark this value in the audiogram.
If the test person at 100 dBHL still show no reaction, the level lock can be unlocked by pressing the "> 100 dB" button (57), which increases the volume of the test tone at some frequencies to up to 120 dBHL can be increased.
The threshold values of the higher frequencies and finally those of the frequencies below 1000 Hz are determined in the same way.
The hearing threshold curve is created by connecting the individual measurement points.
Note: If the respondent's information is uncertain, it is advisable to briefly interrupt the signal using the signal buttons (39, 51). This interruption usually makes the signal easier to identify.
