Atomization when measuring the air duct KA450
When using headphones, the so-called crosstalk attenuation to the untested side is approximately 50 dB, i.e. a signal of 50 dBHL and more can be heard from the opposite ear if the tested ear has a hearing loss of 50 dBHL and more.
For this reason, the "good ear" must be dulled if the difference between the two ears is 40 dBHL hearing loss exceeds.
This masking sound can be activated with the AURGA simply by pressing the "Masking" button (16).
In the "free" position (18), the sound pressure level of the masking noise can be set individually using the level control on the opposite side.
In the "synchronous" position (17), the sound pressure level of the masking noise is automatically adjusted to the level of the test signal. The initial distance between the masking level and the test tone level is specified in the device settings and can be changed during the test using the level control on the opposite side.
